Catherine Lemblé
Huldufólk, Iceland
Huldufólk are hidden people, or elves in Icelandic folklore. They resemble humans and inhabit a separate, parallel realm. In the context of the ongoing war in Gaza the term ‘Hidden people’ takes on a different and dark meaning. Behind the headlines and discussions are innocent lives and voices that often go unheard.
Catherine Lemblé is a film photographer based in Brussels, Belgium.
She received her MA in photography from Luca School of Arts Brussels and self-published her first book Cabin Fever in 2019. Her work is framed by the ever-changing relationship between man and the natural world.
