Frieke Janssens
‘PALAZZO'
A woman in sumptuous robes sits inverted on an easel, her face facing the baroque wallpaper of the abandoned palazzo in which she finds herself. When Frieke Janssens gets to work with Ensor, she does so subtly and entirely in her own style. As full and energetic Ensor's often large paintings are, so full of calm, are Janssens' images.
