Sarah Carlier
Sarah Carlier’s work comprises photography, video, installations and publications, characterized by both personal and socially engaged photography and video projects. Her projects blend documentary, fictional, and at times absurdist elements to reinterpret reality, memories and stories. The overarching goal is to comprehend human existence, behavior, life's complexity, and our modern society. The picture is part of an extensive project that is currently in progress. "Muddy Pink Dinosaur" serves as a study exploring the vital role of play, imagination, and art in our daily lives.
Sarah Carlier is a lens based artist based in The Hague, The Netherlands.
Sarah Carlier (Izegem, Belgium) studied Photography at the KABK in The Hague and at the AKV/St. Joost in Breda. Her work has previously been shown at i.a. Stroom Den Haag, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, FOMU Antwerp and Noorderlicht Groningen.
