Aisha Zeijpveld is a visual artist / photographer, based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

On the image a hand of a woman holding a soap bubble with smoke inside, against a black backdrop, photographed in a Rembrandtesque light.

The image is an outtake of a shoot I did for the Volkskrant, where I was asked to illustrate an article on the phenomena 'filter bubble’. I was teamed up with a professional bubble maker, Saskia Marges.

I wasn't sure if the bubble could stay intact long enough to make a great shot. But fortunately, after several attempts we managed to freeze the bubble onto the model’s hand. Just long enough to capture the smoke that Marges carefully blew into the bubble.
