She is a filmmaker investigating the possibilities within cinematic arts. Her work operates on the juxtaposition of painting, videogame and cinema.

The architect is part of Alex Verhaest’s new work: Ad Hominem

Verraest investigates how the concept of "a good place" can activate stereotypical patterns of the imagination, which in their turn circulate in a culture as a collective framework, used to understand a more complex reality.

On the basis of the four Utopic directions, defined by Sofie Verraest in her doctoral thesis ‘Utopia Unbound’, Verhaest creates works consisting of an archive of fake news pertaining to four utopic worlds.
