Els Vandenberghe is a photographer, based in Ghent, Belgium.

Her images retain what is fleeting and finite. Her gaze is uninhibited, she looks around and sees so much more. Imagination and wonder drive her. The result is an eclectic whole of often intriguing filmic and poetic photographs.

19 April 2020. At home. In the middle of the lockdown. Flowers on the table have wilted, dried. Time stands still. There’s space for a more intense experience of the immediate surroundings. Thrown back on myself. There’s room for experimentation. A new series takes shape: ‘If you wanna be alone, come with me’.
