Isabelle Detournay is a documentary photographer, based in Brussels, Belgium.

She develops a long term photographic project about individuals, families and communities, mostly in Belgium, India and Romania. Her photography is based on the close relationship she builds with her models.

This image is extracted from a serial of image made in Brussels (Parc Josaphat -Schaerbeek) and in Bucharest (Cismigiu Park). I photographed teams of workers, gardeners, cleaners, dust(wo)men.  I have a  big respect for their day-to-day never ending tasks.  And here you can see some temporary piece of sculpture, made with leaves gathered, waiting to be thrown off.
