Mama Plastico is the only company in Mali that collects plastic waste from the streets and recycles it. Women coordinate the cleaning on the streets and get payed in cash by kilo. In the factory local men transform the waste into plastic tubes, used in the building industry. This way less plastic will pollute the river The Niger.
