Marie Sordat

Marie Sordat is a fine art photographer, based in Brussels, Belgium.

Her work is shown in museums, galeries and festivals around the world and it has been published in numerous magazines, catalogues and books. She also teaches photography at INSAS and she’s an independent curator.

“This picture was taken in an early morning in Cambodia in 2014. I’m working in analog process and I like all the textures and the shades of black and white that can be seen in the film. But I’ve chosen that picture in particular because it express the strength of the little white flower surrounded by all that darkness, showing that sometimes light can win in the end.”
