Rachel Corner is a documentary photographer and freelance photo editor, based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

 

Amena Begum, lives on a Char in Brahmaputra river, Bangladesh. She is a widow and a chilli producer, by growing and selling chillies she supports herself and her family. Producing chillies made a huge change in her life. The Chars are river Island of sand. They are extremely vulnerable to natural disasters. Many of the poorest people in Bangladesh live in areas which are most susceptible to natural disasters such as floods and cyclone. Photo made in 2013
