Sarah Carlier is a visual artist, based in The Hague, the Netherlands.

She studied photography at the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague and the Master Photography at AKV / St. Joost in Breda. Her work was featured at: De Brakke Grond (Amsterdam), Stroom The Hague, IMPAKT Film Festival Utrecht, BredaPhoto, BOZAR Brussels, Unseen, FOMU Antwerp and Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. In addition to various private collections, her work is included in the permanent collection of the FOMU and the Stedelijk Museum.

 

“The White Cliffs of D. nr. 12 is part of the project ‘The Golden Dream’ (2019) a spatial installation that ranges from photography, video to sculpture. ‘The Golden Dream’ focuses on human existence and behaviour and at the same time it is questioning the way Europe is dealing with the refugee crisis. The print is folded: a conceptual reference to a topographic map. “
