“In the province Sinchuan in China farmers hand pollinate the flowers of the pear trees. Normally this is a job of the bees, due to the use of insecticides and the monoculture of pear trees there are less natural bees or beekeepers who keep their bees here.
This is an image of Madam Cao. She and her family are large scale pear farmers and the pioneers in the hand pollination.”
